New Feature: Smart Analytics (Insights) — AI-Powered Trading Analysis Across All Tabs
Introducing HyperX Insights: one-click AI-powered analytics across every trader analysis tab. Get instant summaries of positions, trades, holdings, and fund flows.
The Problem: Data Overload in Trader Analysis
If you have ever spent time evaluating traders on Hyperliquid, you know the feeling. You open a trader's profile, and you are staring at dozens of open positions, hundreds of completed trades, pages of transaction history, spot holdings, and a stream of deposits and withdrawals. The raw data is all there — but turning it into a coherent picture of who this trader is and how they operate takes real effort.
Making sense of a trader's behavior meant scrolling through tables, mentally aggregating patterns, and doing rough calculations in your head. How concentrated is this trader's risk? What is their actual win rate on longs versus shorts? Are they net depositing or withdrawing over time? These are the questions that matter when deciding whether to follow or copy a trader, but answering them required significant manual work.
This is especially painful when you are comparing multiple traders. By the third wallet in a session, the mental fatigue of sifting through raw data degrades your decision quality. The information is available, but it is not accessible in the way traders actually need it.
Introducing Insights: One-Click AI Analysis
Today we are releasing Insights — a unified AI-powered analytics feature available across every tab in the trader analysis view. Look for the toolbar button with the Sparkles icon labeled "Insights" (or "智能分析" in Chinese). One click, and you get an intelligent summary of whatever data you are looking at.
Instead of asking you to interpret raw data yourself, Insights reads the same data you see in the table, applies pattern recognition and statistical analysis, and delivers a clear, structured summary of what matters. It works across all five tabs — Positions, Completed Trades, Trade History, Spot Holdings, and Deposits/Withdrawals — and each tab's analysis is tailored to the specific type of data it contains.
This is not a generic AI chatbot bolted onto the interface. When you click Insights on the Positions tab, the analysis focuses on risk exposure and concentration. When you click it on Completed Trades, it focuses on win rate patterns and PnL distribution. The analysis adapts to what you are actually looking at.
What Each Tab's Insights Tells You
Positions: Risk Exposure at a Glance
Clicking Insights on a trader's open positions generates analysis focused on portfolio concentration, directional bias (net long, net short, or balanced), risk exposure (total notional value, leverage distribution, outsized single-position risk), and asset breakdown with position sizes and unrealized PnL.
This is particularly useful for understanding a trader's current risk profile before deciding to copy them. An impressive historical track record means less if the trader is currently sitting in a heavily concentrated, high-leverage position in a single asset.
Completed Trades: Performance Patterns That Matter
This is where the actual track record lives. Insights on Completed Trades delivers:
- Win rate analysis — Overall win rate broken down by direction (long vs. short), by asset, and by position size. A trader who wins 70% of small trades but loses on most large ones has a very different profile than someone with consistent results across all sizes.
- PnL distribution — Average winning trade versus average losing trade. A 60% win rate means nothing if the average loss is three times the average win. Insights calculates the expectancy and highlights whether the math works in the trader's favor.
- Best and worst trades — Outlier trades that significantly impacted overall performance, helping you understand whether PnL is driven by consistent execution or a few lucky swings.
- Consistency metrics — Performance stability over time, sustained drawdown periods, and whether the trader's edge is holding or deteriorating.
When evaluating a trader to copy, click Insights on their Completed Trades tab to instantly see whether the numbers are driven by genuine edge or by a handful of outsized wins that may not repeat.
Trade History: Behavioral Fingerprint
The Trade History tab captures every order event. Insights analyzes this to reveal trading frequency (scalper vs. swing trader), timing patterns (time-of-day and day-of-week activity), order type distribution (market vs. limit orders), and position management style (single entries/exits vs. gradual scaling).
These behavioral patterns help you assess compatibility. Knowing whether a trader is a high-frequency scalper or a patient swing trader directly affects how you should configure copy trading parameters — position sizing, leverage caps, and risk limits all depend on the trader's style.
Spot Holdings: Allocation Strategy
Insights on Spot Holdings provides an allocation breakdown across tokens, portfolio composition analysis (major caps, mid-cap altcoins, or speculative positions), and concentration risk identification.
Spot holdings reveal a different dimension of a trader's strategy. A perpetual futures trader who maintains a diversified spot portfolio may have a fundamentally different risk philosophy than one who keeps everything in stablecoins between trades.
Deposits and Withdrawals: Fund Flow Intelligence
This tab's Insights analyzes net fund flow (is the trader depositing or withdrawing over time?), flow patterns (steady deposits vs. panic deposits after drawdowns), account growth context (distinguishing PnL growth from deposit-inflated growth), and behavioral signals (large deposits after losses can indicate revenge trading; regular withdrawals suggest disciplined money management).
This analysis adds crucial context to performance metrics. Without understanding fund flows, it is easy to be misled by account growth numbers that are partially driven by deposits rather than trading skill.
Practical Use Cases
Evaluating a Trader Before Copying
The most common use case is due diligence on potential copy trading targets. Instead of spending fifteen minutes manually scrolling through data, build a comprehensive picture in under a minute:
- Start with Completed Trades Insights to understand win rate, PnL distribution, and whether the edge is real
- Check Positions Insights to see current risk exposure and whether it is acceptable to you
- Glance at Deposits/Withdrawals Insights to confirm performance is driven by trading skill, not deposit inflows
- Review Trade History Insights to understand style and frequency for configuring copy parameters
This workflow turns a twenty-minute manual analysis into a structured evaluation that takes a fraction of the time.
Monitoring Copied Traders
Insights is equally valuable for ongoing monitoring. Check Positions Insights periodically to see whether a copied trader's risk behavior is changing. If a previously well-diversified trader suddenly concentrates into a single high-leverage position, that is a signal to review your copy configuration or pause the relationship.
Comparing Multiple Traders
When deciding between several traders for your copy portfolio, Insights makes comparison dramatically faster. Click through each trader's Completed Trades Insights to compare win rates and PnL distributions. Check Trade History Insights to ensure you are selecting traders with complementary styles — copying five scalpers gives you less diversification than a mix of scalpers, swing traders, and macro traders.
Design: One Unified Button
We deliberately implemented Insights as a single, consistent toolbar button with the Sparkles icon across every tab. Once you learn that the button exists, you know exactly where to find it regardless of which tab you are viewing. No learning curve per tab, no different menu paths. One button, contextual analysis, every tab.
The Sparkles icon has become a widely recognized indicator for AI-powered features, making it immediately identifiable even to first-time users.
What Is Next
Insights as it launches today is the foundation. We are actively working on expanding the analytical depth of each tab's summaries, adding cross-tab analysis that synthesizes patterns across a trader's entire profile, and exploring the ability to compare Insights across multiple traders in a single view.
We built Insights because the hardest part of trader evaluation should not be data processing — it should be decision-making. By handling the data synthesis automatically, Insights frees you to focus on what actually matters: deciding which traders align with your strategy and risk tolerance.
The feature is available now across all trader analysis tabs. Open any trader's profile, navigate to any tab, and click the Insights button in the toolbar to try it out.
